This page is a statement of the Church’s current organisation. It is not legal advice and does not replace the law that applies where a person lives or acts.
Current status
The High Satanic Church was founded on 15 March 2026 and currently operates as an informal, fully online religious congregation. It is not presently incorporated or registered as a nonprofit, charity, company, association, or other separate legal entity.
The Church may adopt a formal legal structure later if its work makes one useful or necessary. Until that is announced, the website, name, ranks, and religious offices should not be described as proof of incorporation, charitable registration, or separate legal personality.
Online activity
The Church’s ordinary activity takes place online through its website and approved communication channels. It does not promise a permanent physical venue, local office, or legally registered branch in any country.
Members remain responsible for following the law that applies to them, including rules concerning age, privacy, public gatherings, venue use, safety, and online conduct.
Authority to act in the Church’s name
A rank or religious office does not by itself authorise a person to sign contracts, incur debts, collect funds, open accounts, register property, make legal promises, or represent that they can bind the Church. Written authorisation from the administration is required for any claim of formal representation.
Unless such written authority exists, a member acts in a personal capacity and remains personally responsible for what they arrange, publish, promise, or spend.
Private gatherings and study circles
An individual may privately arrange a room, online call, devotional meeting, or study gathering in their own name and at their own responsibility. Such an activity is not a legal branch, premises, business, agent, or representative of the Church unless the administration has expressly stated otherwise in writing.
A private gathering held without formal authorisation must remain non-commercial and free to attend. It may not charge admission, collect membership dues, sell rank or access, enter contracts in the Church’s name, or imply that the Church is legally responsible for the venue or activity.
Names, symbols, and public statements
Members may accurately describe their own membership or rank. They may not create misleading official accounts, impersonate the administration, claim ownership of Church records, or present a personal project as an authorised legal body of the Church.
Official information and verification
The official source for Church announcements, membership information, public writings, and shop links is this website on the thesatanicchurch.org domain. The FAQ, Governance, and Legal pages are maintained as the current public record of the Church’s stated position.
Do not rely on screenshots, copied posts, unsolicited direct messages, or third-party accounts as proof of an official instruction. For purchases, follow only the product links published in the Shop; checkout is completed by the named retailer. If a person claims to represent the Church, requests money outside a published purchase route, or presents a questionable “official” account, please contact the administration before acting.
Journalists, researchers, community organisers, and independent publications seeking a factual confirmation, correction, or interview request may use the official contact form. We welcome accurate, independent references to the public record.
Accuracy, corrections, and future changes
If you identify a factual error in a public claim about the Church, use the contact form and identify the page and statement. Where a factual correction is warranted, the public record should be updated rather than defended for appearance's sake.
If the Church later incorporates, registers a nonprofit or other body, appoints formal legal representatives, or establishes legally recognised premises, the relevant details will be published in a revised notice.
