Media & Interview Requests
The High Satanic Church is open to interviews, media inquiries, and research requests.
On 15 August 2026, the High Satanic Church marked five months since its founding. We are still a young organisation, but the Church and its online community continue to develop, and we are interested in speaking with people who want to understand what we are building and what we actually believe.

We welcome journalists, writers, researchers, podcasters, documentary makers, and authors who would like to ask questions about the High Satanic Church, theistic Satanism, our beliefs, our practices, or the development of our community.
Why We Are Open to Interviews
Satanism can be discussed from many different perspectives, and people who are unfamiliar with theistic Satanism may understandably have questions about what it actually means as a religious tradition.
We would rather answer those questions directly than have people rely on assumptions or second-hand descriptions. An interview gives us an opportunity to explain our beliefs in our own words and gives journalists and researchers an opportunity to ask genuine questions.
We are not presenting ourselves as an old or established historical institution. The High Satanic Church is new, and much of its development is happening now. That makes the Church's present development part of the story as well.
What Is the High Satanic Church?
The High Satanic Church is an independent theistic Satanic religious organisation. We believe Satan is real and worship him as a deity. Our religious life includes study, devotion, ritual, discussion, and participation in an online congregation.
The Church is independent and is not affiliated with the Church of Satan, The Satanic Temple, or other Satanic organisations. We make that distinction clearly because different groups use the word “Satanism” in very different ways.

Topics We Can Discuss
There is no fixed list of questions an interview must follow. Depending on the project, possible subjects include:
- the beliefs of the High Satanic Church
- the meaning of theistic Satanism
- our understanding of Satan as a deity
- religious devotion, ritual, study, and practice
- the founding and early development of the Church
- why the Church was established
- how our approach differs from other forms of Satanism
- common misunderstandings about Satanism
- the experience of developing a new online religious community
- the future development of the High Satanic Church
We are also open to more specific or challenging subjects where a serious discussion is possible. An interview does not need to be promotional to be worthwhile.
Interview and Media Formats
We can consider different formats depending on the project and the nature of the request, including written interviews, email Q&As, podcasts, audio interviews, video interviews, feature articles, documentaries, and research inquiries.
Our Founder and High Priest, J. Berwart, may be available for appropriate interviews concerning the High Satanic Church, its beliefs, and its development.
We cannot guarantee that every request will be accepted or that every format will be possible. Requests are considered individually, and the subject, format, timing, and purpose of the project may all be relevant.
For Journalists and Researchers
If you are writing about Satanism, religion, new religious movements, alternative spirituality, or online religious communities, you are welcome to contact us.
When reaching out, it is helpful to include the name of your publication, podcast, documentary, research project, or other work; the subject you would like to discuss; the intended format; and, where relevant, your deadline.
We understand that journalists sometimes work on short deadlines. We typically aim to respond to genuine media and interview inquiries within a few business days. Urgent requests should mention the deadline in the initial message.

A Note on Interview Format
For personal safety, I give interviews under a pen name and do not appear on camera or use an unaltered voice. I live in a strongly Christian area, and openly identifying myself as a Satanist could create unnecessary personal risks. Written interviews and email Q&As are therefore generally preferred, although other formats may be possible depending on the project.
